  1. Giving diners a single mint at the end of a meal increased tips by around 3%. If two mints were provided, tips increased by 14%. More interestingly, if the waiter provided one mint, started to walk away from the table, but paused, turned back, and said, “For you nice people, here’s an extra mint”, tips increased by 23%, influenced not by what was given but how it was given.- Influence At Work
